I’m Eli Shamoon, a Managerial Economics student at Oregon State University with interests in entrepreneurship, business strategy, and operational growth. I’m passionate about how businesses scale, improve efficiency, and make data-driven decisions. Through academics, my own business development, and customer service experience, I’ve built strong skills in communication, adaptability, leadership, and problem-solving. I’m currently seeking opportunities to gain hands-on experience in business, management, finance, or entrepreneurship through internships and professional collaboration.

Business
Starting a local pressure washing business as a college student taught me more about business than I expected. What started as a way to make extra money quickly turned into a real lesson in sales, customer relationships, operations, and entrepreneurship. It forced me to step outside of the classroom and learn how businesses actually operate day to day.
One of the biggest things I learned was that communication matters just as much as the service itself. Most clients weren’t experts in pressure washing—they wanted someone they could trust to show up on time, explain the process clearly, and deliver quality results. I realized quickly that professionalism, responsiveness, and confidence can separate you from competitors before the work even begins.
Oregon State
Studying Managerial Economics has changed the way I approach decision-making, business strategy, and problem-solving. Courses in econometrics, financial economics, and statistics have strengthened my ability to analyze data, think critically, and understand how incentives shape markets and consumer behavior. Beyond technical knowledge, college has taught me how to communicate ideas effectively, adapt quickly, and connect economic theory to real-world business challenges.
